Published August 22, 2019

It’s no secret in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry that the shelf placement of products has a huge impact on a business’s sales figures. From in-store displays to fridges, manufacturers and retailers invest significant amounts of time, thought and money into presenting their products in the most eye-catching and appealing ways possible. But how can recent A.I.-driven solutions help them do this, and how can it help to boost their sales?
Here at Intelygenz, we have teamed up with a large global food and beverage retailer to see how this can be done in a more effective way. We implemented an A.I.-driven solution into millions of their IoT-enabled connected coolers worldwide. They were using highly impactful tools such as fully-integrated cameras, cloud storage, and our very own Intelygenz A.I. in-depth analysis. From the use of this technology, the client was then able to continually correct and improve their product shelf positioning in individual machines. This technology has also enabled them to control their entire planogram compliance remotely.
